How do you fix a gummy smile?
The following methods are used to fix a gummy smile:
- Gum Lift: A gum lift involves removing the excess gum tissue and modifying the bone around the teeth so that the gum line is in a proper position.
- Lip Lowering: Part of the gum is removed by surgery resulting in a perfect gum line.
- Jaw Surgery: Surgery to adjust the position of the jaw.
- Botox: Botox reduces muscle activity. Injecting Botox into the upper lip relaxes the lip resulting in a reduced pulling effect when smiling.
